Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels and place them in a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, whisk olive oil, garlic, paprika, thyme, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
- Rub marinade over the chicken breasts, making sure they are evenly coated.
- Bake chicken uncovered for 20–25 minutes, depending on thickness.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness. The chicken is safe and perfectly cooked once it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Remove from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Always check chicken with a meat thermometer for accurate results. Cutting into the meat before it rests will release the juices.
Serve with steamed vegetables, roasted potatoes, or a fresh salad.
You can substitute dried thyme with oregano or rosemary for different flavors.
